Sue Cooper, managing director and chief executive at multi-sector recruiter Morgan Hunt, steps down from these roles to become a non-executive director at the company.

The move, which Cooper says in a statement has been a year in the planning, sees Dan Taylor and Sarah Wynn take over the reins of Morgan Hunt as MDs.

Cooper joined Morgan Hunt as a director in October 2011, was appointed MD in October 2013 and subsequently became CEO. When she was appointed CEO last April, Taylor and Winn were installed as deputy MDs.

Commenting on the changes in management, Cooper, who stays on as a non-executive director, said: “I am incredibly proud to have led such a reputable recruitment agency. I can hand on heart say that the last five years have been the best of my career.”

Commenting on his own appointment, Taylor said it has been great to have transitioned into this role in such a sensible way. “Sarah and I are now ready and excited to get stuck in and deliver the strategic plans we’ve been formulating over the last six months and deliver the next fundamental growth in the Morgan Hunt story,” he added.

Meanwhile, chairman Rupert Fordham said he is excited about the firm’s future. “Our core markets in health, education and housing have huge long-term potential and Dan and Sarah, with their energy and experience, are the right people to lead the business into the next phase of its growth. I am very much looking forward to working with them as we continue to grow both our core businesses and develop new markets in both public and private sectors.”
