Tony Marshall has joined Harrington Starr Executive Search, which launched last month, as managing partner, bringing 25 years of experience in global markets to the company.

The new division focuses on senior fintech and financial services positions and, the company adds, is a “progression of Harrington Starr’s growth in the fintech space to build a joined up solution to our customers” and marks the start of the group’s global expansion plans.

Harrington Starr Inc also launched in September with offices on 5th Avenue, New York City headed by Rob Grant, who joined in January and Sarah Philby who joined the company’s graduate scheme in 2011.

The New York office will also focus on fintech and is hiring three new starters this month.

Harrington Starr partner Toby Babb told Recruiter: “Executive search is a gap in the market our customers have asked us to fill. The decision to launch [in London and New York] is therefore customer-driven.”

He added: “With North Starr, our first new venture, going from strength to strength – having trebled headcount in its first year – the US and executive search businesses are testament to our commitment to build a truly global brand.”
