Senior and board executive recruiter Norman Broadbent is to appoint Frank Carter as non-executive chairman.

The group’s intention to appoint Carter was announced yesterday in a statement revealing the firm had raised £2.3m in conditional fundraising

Carter, who has been an adviser to the company since June and is currently a senior adviser to professional services firm KPMG. He is to join Norman Broadbent’s board as non-executive chairman following a general meeting later this month. The general meeting is being held to gain the approval of shareholders on the £2.3m raising of funds through a share subscription priced at 9.50 pence per share. 

A number of significant investors, including Jon Moulton, Pierce Casey, Ennismore Fund Management, Miton Group and City Financial Investment Company took part in the subscription. Directors Mike Brennan, James Webber and Brian Stephens also subscribed for roughly £70k in fundraising.
