Russell Clements, former chief executive of international recruiter SThree group, has taken on the role of non-executive chairman of Hunter/Gatherer.

In a statement released this morning, the group, which is dedicated to investing in building and growing healthcare recruitment companies, described Clements’ appointment as a “major coup”, adding they anticipate his experience will help to ensure individual companies within the group meet growth predictions.

Commenting on his appointment, Clements said: “In the past I’ve talked about working with smaller companies and motivated teams as the environment in which I can make the most positive impact. I’m looking forward to using my 30 years’ experience to help a growing business, with an energetic and ambitious management team, and create a truly outstanding player in the healthcare recruitment sector.”

During Clements’ time as CEO at SThree, the firm grew from 20 offices of which five were overseas, to 64 offices across 20 countries.
