Scottish Borders-based recruitment software provider IQX has been chosen as one of 12 technology companies in Scotland to travel to the Engage Invest Exploit summit in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China this October, with the aim of establishing commercial ties between China and Scotland.

Edinburgh-based Informatics Ventures and WeAreTheFuture, who both promote technology entrepreneurship across Scotland, joined forces with the Asia Scotland Institute and Scottish Enterprise to launch a competition to find 12 of Scotland’s tech firms to fly out to China.

Along with 11 other Scottish technology companies, including fashion shopping app creator Mallzee, IceRobotics, a developer and provider of data collection and analysis products for monitoring dairy cow behaviour, and craft beer club Flavourly, IQX will meet with commercial contacts and investors in China. They will help promote technology led opportunities in Scotland.

The five-day trip will begin in Hong Kong on 17 October, where the The Engage Invest Exploit summit will take place ahead of a second summit in Shenzhen.
