Industrial, technical, transport and energy recruiter Encore Personnel has appointed growth capital specialist Richard Bishop as a non-executive director.

Bishop, who was one of the founders of the UK’s leading growth capital organisation Business Growth Fund, will support Encore’s managing director Greg Latham and senior team as it plans an expansion and an increase in market share over the next year.

He has 25 years’ experience with growing entrepreneurial companies as a private equity and growth capital investor. He was also a partner at 3i Group plc, an international investment management organisation, where he led a €2.5bn (£1.97) portfolio.
