Lord Alan Sugar has been appointed as enterprise tsar for a second time, as part of the government’s drive to get more young people to consider starting their own business or to take up an apprenticeship.

The high profile business and star of BBC’s The Apprentice was previously appointed to the role back in June 2009.

As enterprise tsar, Sugar will champion enterprise across the country and undertake a roadshow to highlight advantages for young people and business.

The government has committed to deliver 3m apprenticeship starts in England by 2020.
