Dame Christine Braddock is to step down as non-executive director at staffing services, outsourcing, training and employability organisation, Staffline.

In a statement released today, the group revealed Braddock notified the company’s board of her intention to step down at this year’s annual general meeting on 19 May 2016.

The statement adds that Braddock’s role as chairman of Birmingham Children's Hospital and the Birmingham Women's Hospital will restrict her availability to spend time in the business, as the two health institutions move towards merger and major redevelopment. Consequently, she feels she needs to step down at the end of her term as non-executive director.

Staffline adds it intends to appoint a new non-executive director, and an external search process to find a new non-executive director will now start.

A further announcement will be made as appropriate in due course.
