FINANCIALS: AMN Q4 gross profit surges 56%

US healthcare recruiter AMN Healthcare said gross profit was up 56% to $131.8m (£92.3m) for the three months to 31 December 2015 compared to the same period in the previous year.
Revenue was up 44% to $402.6m while adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 85% to $46.9m in Q4 2015 on the corresponding quarter of 2014.
For the full year 2015, year-on-year revenue rose 41% to $1.46bn, along with gross profit, up 48% to $469.4m and adjusted EBITDA, up 81% to $165.2m.
Commenting on the results, AMN president and chief executive Susan Salka was positive about the group’s growth trajectory buoyed by the successful integration of the 2015 acquisitions of healthcare recruiters B.E. Smith, The First String and MilicanSolutions.
