Eurociett data shows increase in agency work across Europe

The number of hours carried out by agency workers across Europe increased by 4.4% in February 2016, compared with the same month last year, according to Eurociett, the European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies.

The number of hours carried out by agency workers across Europe increased by 4.4% in February 2016, compared with the same month last year, according to Eurociett, the European Confederation of Private Employment Agencies.
Of the countries providing data to Eurociett’s Agency Work Business Indicator, year-on-year growth was strongest in Netherlands (15%), Poland (14%) and Finland (12.3%).
But three countries saw the number of hours worked by agency workers fall year-on-year – Germany (-2%), Switzerland (-2.1%) and Norway (-12.3%).
