Australia’s intelligence agency, ASIO, has launched a recruitment drive specifically targeting trades people, according to the country’s The Daily Telegraph.

Late last year, Recruiter reported the agency was targeting university graduates to bolster its ranks.

In a bid to recruit an army of ASIO ‘surveillance officers’, ASIO’s latest recruitment ad reads: “Ready to trade your tools for a role protecting our nation?”

An agency spokesperson, however, told the paper it was seeking people with “necessary attributes” rather than specific trade skills.
