New-build home construction standard setting body NHBC has appointed Carol Davies as its new head of human resources.

Davies joins the Milton Keynes-based firm from financial services firm BGL Group, where she was associate director, group HR.

In a statement the group said Davies’ appointment comes during NHBC’s largest recruitment drive in a decade amid continued recovery in the house-building sector.

An NHBC spokesperson told Recruiter last year the organisation recruited more than 200 people and plans for further recruitment in 2016 are "well under way".
