eResponse Crowd Safety has appointed security and crowd management consultant Dr Mick Upton as a strategic adviser. 

He will work with director Andy Hollinson to develop qualifications and advise on the firm’s expansion into new markets.

Upton has worked as a security and crowd management consultant for four decades, managing high-profile events including Live Aid in 1985 and the Moscow Peace Festival.

He also developed the first foundation degree in crowd safety management and wrote the first accredited front of stage pit course.
