CIPD elects Cooper president

Sir Cary Cooper has been elected as president of the CIPD [Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development].

The expert on workforce wellbeing, and professor of organisational psychology and health at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester was elected at the CIPD’s Annual General Meeting held in London on 15 December.

He succeeds Gill Rider CB.

Cooper’s role has an initial tenure of three years.
