French military and emergency services have seen a spike in interest from young people wanting to sign up following the Paris attacks, according to French publication The Local.

French military and emergency services have seen a spike in interest from young people wanting to sign up following the Paris attacks, according to French publication The Local

The co-ordinated terrorist attacks in Paris two weeks ago resulted in 130 deaths. 

According to The Local, police, the fire brigade and armed forces have all reported a jump in the numbers of young people inquiring about career and volunteering opportunities.

Some military recruitment offices have reported a doubling in the number of inquires, while the police force is seeing up to seven times as much interest and the fire brigade is experiencing five times the normal interest.
