Monster sells position in South Korean JobKorea to H&Q Korea

Global job board Monster has entered into an agreement to sell its 50.01% ownership position in its South Korean operation, JobKorea, to H&Q Korea for around US$85m (£38m).

Global job board Monster has entered into an agreement to sell its 50.01% ownership position in its South Korean operation, JobKorea, to H&Q Korea for around US$85m (£38m).

The transaction is expected to close next month. 

Monster sold 49.99% of its shares in JobKorea to H&Q Korea in December 2013.

A Monster statement said the sale “is consistent with Monster's continued strategy of unlocking value and sharpening its focus on its core online recruitment platform”.
