Human Capital Investment Group (HCIG) has appointed Andrew Burchall as group chief financial officer.

Burchall took up his role at the recruitment agency investment group on 1 September. He succeeds Michael Sterling in the post. Sterling left HCIG last month.

He was most recently interim group finance director at estate agents LSL Property Services, though he has been finance director at a number of recruitment business including Impellam Group, Corporate Services Group (CSG), Medacs Healthcare and Comensura.

Burchall started his accountancy career with professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving to accountancy firm Saffery Champness and then entering the world of corporate finance in 2000.
