FINANCIALS: USG People reports 26% rise in earnings
Continental European staffing company USG People has reported a 26% rise in its earnings, according to results announced by the company for the second quarter of 2015.
The company said underlying EBITA (earnings before interest, tax and amortisation) rose to €19.4m (£13.35m) from €15.4m in the same quarter in 2014.
Underlying net income grew from €7.9m to €9.6m, while revenue was 7.7% higher at €618.6m.
In a statement, Rob Zandbergen, USG People chief executive, said: “Market conditions in our countries continue to develop favourably. The upward trend in demand for our services continued both for large clients and in the small- and medium-sized business (SME) segment.”
Zandbergen went on to say that while in the Netherlands and Belgium the company’s growth at the end of the quarter was in line with the recruitment industry market, in France and Germany, it “outperformed the market”.
“We expect the positive trend to continue in the second half of 2015,” he added.
