Scottish industrial and drinks industry recruitment specialist Brightwork Group has appointed Shan Saba as group business development director.

His remit includes expanding the group’s geographic and sector presence.

The appointment follows his successful tenure as a director in Brightwork Specialist Recruitment, the professional, technical and managerial division of the group.

It also coincides with plans for significant investment in the Glasgow business with a major re-branding and new database capabilities coming into effect later this year.

Saba said in a statement he was particularly keen to expand into the industrial arena of the North-East of Scotland and the drinks industry across Ireland.

He added the group would continue to grow organically but would also be looking for acquisition opportunities.

Before joining Brightwork in 2008, Saba was managing consultant at multi-sector recruiter Hudson and before that, a section manager at Hays Logistics Personnel.
