VMA Group, the global recruitment and training specialist for corporate and marketing communications, has opened an office in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This is the eighth global practice for the London-headquartered group and its first in Africa. 

It opened in Paris, France earlier this month.

Daniel Munslow, an experienced international communications consultant and trainer, has been appointed principal consultant to head up the Africa practice. 

A statement from the company said market research shows the communication function in Africa was set to grow with “a large number of South African businesses indicating the establishment of satellite communication offices in West Africa over the next two years; and global offices seeking an enhanced presence in South Africa to address local market needs”.
