Global recruitment firm H1 Healthcare Group has acquired Aberdeen-based housing support and care-at-home service company Absolute Care (Scotland).

Absolute Care had entered into liquidation at the beginning of the year following a petition from HM Revenue & Customs.

The acquisition, advised by accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael, means Absolute Care’s 60 staff will retain their jobs and more than 100 service users will continue to receive support.

The deal was completed on 8 February and Absolute Care has been absorbed into H1 Healthcare.

H1 declined to disclose the cost of the acquisition.

According to Aberdeen-based Evening Express, Absolute Care was banned last year from taking on new clients after the Care Inspectorate raised concerns about its service.

The Evening Express report of 27 November 2014 said inspectors graded the services as unsatisfactory in every aspect, including quality of staffing and care.
