Digital technology solutions provider Kainos Software is creating 403 jobs in Northern Ireland.

A statement yesterday [26 February] from regional development agency Invest Northern Ireland, which contributed £4.7m to Kainos’ “major” expansion, said the jobs would be based in Belfast and Londonderry, and would have average annual salaries of more than £30k.

It is not known how the company is planning to recruit for the skilled digital and technical roles but Kainos has an internal recruitment team.

The statement also said Kainos was investing £5m in “staff skills”, including management and leadership development, to prepare for expansion in existing and new markets.

Kainos currently employs more than 700 staff across its Belfast, Londonderry, London, Bristol and Gdansk (Poland) operations.

It has UK, US and European customers in the healthcare, government, and financial services markets.
