Thu, 8 Jan 2015InterQuest is to launch IQ InfoSec – a new division aimed at the information security sector, according to the IT recruiter’s chief executive Mark Braund.

In a trading update for the financial year ending 31 December 2014, released this morning [8 January], the group revealed it now anticipates full-year net fee income of £23.3m, up 34% year-on-year.

InterQuest’s contract book has also increased by 18% between January 2014 and the end of last year.

According to Braund the group’s analytics division has been doing “quite a bit” of information security work at a “very senior level” but is now extending its coverage.

He told Recruiter: “More recently in the last year we have started to look at the next level down.

“We’re now going down to the depths of cyber security and information security, and providing resources in that space,” he added.

Braund says the new division will be established later in the month, supported by the launch of a website next week.

InterQuest will publish its final results for the year ended 31 December 2014 on 10 March.
