Carriban takes over CEO spot from Rose at FiveTen
Carriban (right) succeeds John Rose, who became the group CEO in February 2009. The appointment takes effect from today.
The six FiveTen brands are EMR (marketing, digital and communications), Greythorn (technology), Laurence Simons (legal and compliance), Marks Sattin (accountancy & finance), Ortus (human resources) and Antal Russia.
As part of the same leadership changeover, Chris Herrmannsen takes on the FiveTen board chairmanship, succeeding Bob Ellis who became chairman last July. However, Ellis will remain on the board, sources close to FiveTen said.

Herrmannsen, who has previously held CEO roles at Hudson Highland (Europe) and TMP Worldwide, is currently an advisory board member for risk & financial services recruiter Eames Consulting Group.
Carriban was most recently managing director at Links International, a Hong Kong-headquartered recruitment, payroll, HR and business process outsourcing consultancy. He also worked for Hudson in Asia as managing director for both its Asian operations and its Mainland China business.
Carriban’s appointment appears to signal the onset of a new growth phase for FiveTen. When Rose joined in 2009, succeeding former CEO Graham Palfery-Smith, Rose’s appointment was seen as a move toward stabilising a business that had invested heavily and quickly in a ‘buy and build’ strategy, notably the purchase of Antal Russia from Antal International.
Departing the business along with Rose was commercial director Jonathan Warnock, who had been part of the group since its inception, the sources close to FiveTen said.
Rose could not be reached for comment by press deadlines.
FiveTen is backed by Bregal Capital and has operations in 23 cities, across 13 countries and five continents.
