The newspaper reported that the prime minister’s plans to reduce the welfare cap from £26,000 to £23,000, and to remove housing benefit from 18- 21-year-olds on jobseeker’s allowance, would raise £255m a year, which would be used to fund apprenticeships.
According to a report in City AM, Cameron would also challenge all FTSE 100 companies to open an apprenticeship scheme by 2020.
