Global insurance broker Lockton has appointed Julie Coates as London-based people director.

She will cover HR and associate development, as well as succession planning, talent management and engagement, and associate development.

She has worked in a variety of HR roles for more than 20 years, most previously as HR director at property consultant GVA.
