Tue, 27 May 2014Jobseekers looking for roles in South Africa within the HR, IT and motor industries are in demand, according to data from South African job board CareerJunction.

The data comparing current job availability in the IT sector to the same period last year shows that companies have boosted their hiring efforts by 60%.

HR and the motor industries are not far behind, according to the CareerJunction Index, with each showing a spike in job availability of more than 40% in recent months.

However, the situation is not uniform for jobseekers in all roles, the research points out. In the HR industry, for example, HR officers, recruitment consultants and HR managers can look forward to a wide selection of opportunities, while those in administrative, research, payroll or employee-relations roles are less in demand.
