Fri, 16 May 2014Following its plans to create around 130 jobs in South Wales, US firm Alert Logic, along with technology recruitment specialist IntaPeople, will host a recruitment open evening at the Hilton Cardiff on Tuesday 20 May.

The US cloud security-as-a-service provider recently selected IntaPeople to supply staff for its new European headquarters in the Welsh capital Cardiff.

The project is being backed with £1.15m of Welsh government business finance and the new roles will be across customer service, network operations and service delivery.

IntaPeople’s operating director Phil Handley last month highlighted the IT skills shortage in Wales to the BBC and he tells Recruiter IntaPeople will “use a multitude of areas to attract talent via email, social media and our own network”.

The recruitment evening will offer prospective candidates the opportunity to learn more about Alert Logic and the roles available. It will also give candidates the chance to question Alert Logic staff visiting Cardiff from Houston, Texas.

Handley says it is unlikely to fill all the roles on that evening: “We see it as an ongoing campaign last for a couple of months.”
