An open evening to attract tech talent for US cloud security-as-a-service provider Alert Logic has already resulted in a number of offers, according to the firm’s recruitment partner IntaPeople.
As reported by recruiter.co.uk last week, Alert Logic was looking for around 130 staff for its new European headquarters in Cardiff and arranged a recruitment event. IntaPeople says it was delighted with the response, as more than 100 technology professionals came along to the Hilton Cardiff on Tuesday (20 May).
Marty McGuffin, senior vice president of Security and Compliance Solutions at Alert Logic, says: “This event exceeded our expectations. The numbers in the crowd and the quality of the people has been outstanding. There is clearly a lot of tech talent in Wales!”
Following the event, IntaPeople recruitment consultants and Alert Logic staff spoke with scores of candidates about the available roles, and after interviewing throughout the week, a number of offers have now been made. The new team will be based in temporary offices in Cardiff until the opening of a state-of-the-art Security Operations Centre in the city’s Capital Quarter.
Alert Logic is still hiring for a number of new roles across customer service, network operations and service delivery. Candidates must be skilled in areas including network security, network engineering, product management and customer care.
