Supported by HCIG, the business has been established by chief executive officer Simon Wicks, who has 17 years’ experience in the sector. His career includes six years with Hays Accountancy & Finance and nine years with Reed Finance.

Butler Rose will specialise in recruiting both part-qualified and qualified finance professionals, allowing it to work with candidates and clients throughout their professional careers.

It also has plans to move into other areas of professional services recruitment, including HR, procurement and legal, as it recruits specialist consultants in these markets. The company will launch initially with offices in Bristol, Birmingham and Milton Keynes, with a London office opening planned for the beginning of June.

Wicks says: “With the professional services recruitment market continuing to improve, this is the perfect time to launch Butler Rose.”
