The managing director of Broadbean has hailed international human capital solutions provider CareerBuilder’s acquisition of the multi-job posting service as “good news for clients”.
Broadbean managing director Dan Martin, tells Recruiter that he is “excited by the prospects.”
“It is good news for clients because CareerBuilder have bought into our product strategy.”
Broadbean “remains an independent company… We will still have control over where we focus our time,” says Martin
CareerBuilder purchased Broadbean from Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) for an undisclosed sum.
This marks DMGT’s second sale of a recruitment product within two weeks. Niche job site OilCareers.com was sold last month to specialist job provider Dice. Both Broadbean and OilCareers were part of the Evenbase portfolio of digital recruitment products.
All Broadbean’s senior executives will continue in their existing roles, says Martin, with he himself reporting in to CareerBuilder chief executive officer Matt Ferguson.
Martin says that following the acquisition, there will be an operating board made up of representatives from both Broadbean and CareerBuilder.
“CareerBuilder is excited to expand our portfolio and continue the rapid growth of our global HR SaaS [Software as a Service] operation,” says Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder. “Clients will benefit from broader job distribution and one simple workflow to manage all external and internal sources for candidates. Broadbean’s robust technologies complement our product offerings as we deliver a more intuitive, data-driven talent acquisition experience for our clients.”
Kelly Robinson, CEO of Broadbean, says: “Leveraging our combined assets, we can deliver recruitment insights and services that employers have not seen before.”
Broadbean posts jobs on more than 6,000 job boards and social networks in 183 countries and has more than 60,000 users. The company distributes more than 2 million jobs and generates more than 10 million job applications each month.
