FINANCIALS: InterQuest Group grows earnings

EBITDA (earnings before income tax, depreciation and amortisation) rose by 39% to £2.5m (2012: £1.8m).

Reported profit before tax was £1.43m compared to a £0.4m loss in 2012 as revenue increased by 2% to £114.9m.

The group’s gross profit margin rose from 14.5% to 15.1%.

Gary Ashworth, InterQuest executive chairman, says: “The acquisition of [digital recruitment specialist] ECOM has accelerated the group’s capability in the digital sector to a market-leading level.

“Trading in January and February has been encouraging, especially in respect of recurring contract revenue and we look forward to the year unfolding with confidence.”
