Australia: Defence Materials Centre to boost high-tech jobs

Australian assistant minister for defence, Stuart Robert, says that the extension of funding for the Defence Materials Technology Centre (DMTC) at its annual conference in Canberra will drive job creation in advanced manufacturing and high-tech jobs.

“I am pleased to announce the government has recently agreed to secure funding for the DMTC for an additional three years. This will enable the DMTC to continue to drive the creation of Australian industry capability and Australian jobs in advanced manufacturing and associated technologies,” Robert said.
The DMTC is funded in part by the federal government through the Defence Future Capability Technology Centre Program, in collaboration with the Victorian, New South Wales and Queensland state governments and industry partners.
