Wed, 29 Jan 2014Multinational fire and security company Tyco is planning to establish a business services centre in Cork in Ireland, with the potential of around 500 local jobs over three years.

The proposed business services centre will enable Tyco to improve the efficiency of processes in several central support functions, including sourcing and procurement, customer service, research and development, information technology and finance.

Tyco is looking to build a local talent pool to eventually help fill those roles and is encouraging jobseekers to visit the company’s local career website to be considered for a role in one of the functional areas listed.

In more good news for Cork, Global Reviews, a global online customer experience intelligence and digital research company, is today opening its European headquarters in the city, with the creation of 30 jobs over the next two years.

The company will be seeking experienced professionals to join its Cork team, drive company growth and provide superior digital marketing and sales insights to its top tier clients around the world.

Both projects are supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
