Australian employment minister consults with job service providers

The Australian, assistant minister for employment, Luke Hartsuyker visited three job service providers in the federal electorate of Deakin in Victoria, as part of the coalition government’s commitment to improve the employment services sector.
Tue, 21 Jan 2014The Australian, assistant minister for employment, Luke Hartsuyker visited three job service providers in the federal electorate of Deakin in Victoria, as part of the coalition government’s commitment to improve the employment services sector.
The minister met with Mission Australia, Reed in Partnership and international training provider Sarina Russo during a visit organised by local MP Michael Sukkar as part of a consultation exercise to make the employment services sector more efficient and effective.
"The government has already moved to reduce red tape for job services providers through measures including scrapping requirements to keep paper records and simplifying arrangements for contract changes, said Hartsuyker.
"But I know there is more that needs to be done and I welcome the views of staff from these three local offices.”
