The University of Leicester has launched a new programme, which will create up to 500 paid internships per year for campus-based UK and EU students.
Thu, 7 Nov 2013The University of Leicester has launched a new programme, which will create up to 500 paid internships per year for campus-based UK and EU students.

Up to 12 weeks in length, the internships will be available in Leicester and the local area, and across the UK for undergraduates joining from next year, following a pilot scheme already underway.

Salaries will be the equivalent of £12-16k pro rata.

Bob Athwal, director of the university’s Career Development Service, comments: “At Leicester we are absolutely committed to ensuring the student experience includes an internship. This is the route more and more graduate employers are using to feed their talent pipeline, and our promise helps our students respond to this.”


Aspiring pilots can apply to join fully-funded training programme
