Car maker Volkswagen is to create 5,700 new jobs at a new plant in Ningo, South Eastern China, which has an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles.

This is VW’s fifth plant in China, with a further one due to open in Changsha in South Central China by 2015.
The company says that China is its largest sales market globally.
Dr Martin Winterkorn, chair of VW, comments: “For our group brands, the Ningbo plant also gives new momentum to tapping the full potential of the huge market South and West of Shanghai.”
