IT and telco recruiter Darwin Recruitment has taken on Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) chair Miles Hunt as non-executive chairman, and also has two new board members in Simon Lawton and Alf Davis.

Hunt was previously the chief executive officer of staffing group Empresaria. He is also chair of recruitment group Serocor.

He succeeds David Higgins, who joined the company in 2010. Higgins was the founder of IT recruiter and outsourcing firm Harvey Nash, and remains a non-exec director at tech, media and telco recruiter Arrows Group, and the chair of human capital-focused leadership and advisory firm Inception Partners.

Darwin’s board also has a new non-exec finance director Simon Lawton. He succeeds David Northey, who joined alongside Higgins three years ago. Lawton is also a non-exec at Serocor and HR recruiter Oasis HR.

The final new appointment is chief operations officer Alf Davis, who previously spent 13 years with IT recruiter Modis International.
