Wed, 9 Oct 2013The president of Antal International in Poland, the company acquired from Tony Goodwin's Antal International by Polish-listed company Work Service at the end of September, has told Recruiter of his plans to double to the company’s network of offices.
After 18 years in Poland, Antal International sold its Polish business to Polish-listed company Work Service for £5.35m, with the purchaser also acquiring the right to use the Antal brand in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Artur Skiba, the president of Antal International in Poland, says that he expects to double the number of offices from four to eight, including opening new offices in the Czech Republic and Slovakia by the middle of next year.
He explains that Antal is a good fit for Work Service because its focus on mid- to senior permanent roles, complements the latter’s “mainly temporary solutions business”. Skiba added that while “not booming”, Poland “was probably one of the best countries to do recruitment in right now”.
In a second deal completed last week, Work Service acquired Work Express, a Polish company that specialises in supplying staff to Germany and France, in a £10m deal.
