Results released today show growth at recruiters Bailey Employment Services and Sanctuary Personnel.

Bailey was listed 46th on Recruiter's 2013 FAST 50 list of the UK's fastest-growing recruitment businesses, according to annual sales growth, while Sanctuary made our 2012 Recruiter HOT 100, sponsored by Microdec, ranking the UK recruitment firms with the greatest gross profit per employee, in 95th place.

Bailey Employment Services
The company, which referenced its FAST 50 ranking in its annual report, grew turnover from £9.9m in the year ending 31 October 2011 to £11.1m last year.

This includes £407k turnover from acquired care recruiter True Care.

Gross profit increased by £77k to £2.2m, but a rise in operating expenses meant bottom line profit for the financial year was, at £613k, slightly down on the £667k from 2011.

Bailey has its head office in Wiltshire and two further branches, in Goole in Yorkshire, and near Bristol.

Sanctuary Personnel

The firm, which specialises in the care sector, saw bottom-line profit jump by just shy of £1m to £2.4m between the year ending 31 October 2012 and the previous 12 months.

Turnover grew 14% to £41.4m, while administrative expenses dropped by £173 to £3.9m.

Staff levels grew from 73 to 86.

The firm also says it has grown its social work service delivery division, Skylakes, “as the public sector looks to deliver services in more innovative ways”, and that the business as a whole “has seen a natural progression into the healthcare sector”, owing to significant client crossover.
