Eximius Group opens Hong Kong office

Recruitment firm Eximius Group has opened an office in Hong Kong as it seeks to grow its legal business in the Asia Pacific region.
Fri, 30 Aug 2013Recruitment firm Eximius Group has opened an office in Hong Kong as it seeks to grow its legal business in the Asia Pacific region.

The company, which specialises in the energy, legal and financial services sectors, previously served the Asian legal market from its London headquarters.

Eximius chief executive Nick Stevens tells recruiter.co.uk that despite some indications the wider Asian economy is not as buoyant as a few years ago, he expects the new office to be profitable within the first six months.  The new office initially has a staff of three. However, Stevens says he expects this figure to rise to between eight and 10.

Although the immediate focus will be on the legal market, Stevens says the plan is to expand later into financial services and energy.

The new office is headed by Nathan Smith, who joins from Connected Group in Hong Kong, having previously worked for Hydrogen Group in the Far East. The Hong Kong office is Eximius’ second outside the UK – it already has an office in Dubai.
