Tue, 13 Aug 2013Energy and earth sciences recruiter EarthStream Global has opened its fourth base in the Americas in Houston, which the firm’s chief executive officer Paul Beeke refers to as “the world’s capital of oil”.
This comes after the firm launched a Tokyo base earlier this summer, where it has a particular focus on staffing the renewable energy industry. Alongside offices in Brazil, Canada and another US base in Atlanta, the firm also has premises in Europe, including its London HQ, as well as Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
The new offices come after private investors Key Capital Partners put £2m into the business in March. Beeke, who founded the business in 2010, says EarthStream “now has truly global coverage with in-country operations in the most vital energy and resources markets”.
The office in Houston will provide exploration & production and engineering & technical talent to clients in the oil and natural gas sectors.
Beeke also notes: “The Houston and Tokyo offices will collaborate closely as Japanese O&G [oil & gas] operators increasingly look to exploit the range of unconventional shale gas development opportunities in the US.”
