Multi-brand recruiter and services provider Cordant Group has appointed Steven Kirkpatrick as chief executive officer of its recruitment division.

Kirkpatrick (pictured) moves from the role of managing director at Adecco UK, where he has held other key roles during two separate stints at the recruitment organisation.

Cordant includes such established recruitment brands as Abacus Recruitment, Grosvenor Boston, Judy Fisher Associates, Premiere People, PMP Recruitment and Prime Time Recruitment.

Also including a cleaning and security division, the group’s turnover for the year to 30 June 2012 was just shy of £480m – with a company spokesperson telling Recruiter that recruitment accounts for around three-quarters of this.

Previous recruitment division CEO Laurie Percival stepped down in May after almost eight years in the role, and has now become a consultant for Jigsaw Medical Services, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Cordant group chief executive officer Phillip Ullmann comments on Kirkpatrick’s appointment: “We are delighted to have secured Steven’s services. It’s an exciting time within the group, with initiatives on the horizon that will help strengthen our position within the marketplace.

“We believe Steven’s experience and drive for excellence will complement our strategic plans across the divisions.”

The Cordant spokesperson tells Recruiter that the initiatives range from service improvement to compliance technology.

Cordant also includes Advance Security and Dynamiq Cleaning, which enable the group to provide outsourced labour solutions across multiple sectors.
