Tue, 13 Aug 2013Capita Asset Services has been appointed by the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) in Ireland as primary and special loan servicer, and as a result of the contract will take on 140 extra employees.
The contract win follows news in May that Capita was planning to increase its headcount in Ireland from 800 to 1,600 over the next three years. The 140 NAMA roles are included in the extra 800 staff planned, Capita confirms to recruiter.co.uk.
The NAMA deal is worth around €80m (£69m) over four years, with Capita delivering primary servicing for NAMA loans with nominal balances of €41bn.
Capita will also provide special servicing in the management of over 300 debtors under a framework from NAMA.
Paul Pindar, chief executive officer of Capita, says: “The contract is an excellent strategic fit for Capita in that it fully complements our existing business in terms of services, clients and professional staff and we are pleased to welcome all new members of staff.”
