Goldteam gets behind Slough employability partnership
The jobs market in Slough is twice a winner each time local recruitment firm Goldteam makes a placement – as the company makes a contribution to business-led public private employability and skills partnership Slough Aspire.
Having worked with Slough Aspire since its inception over 18 months ago, Goldteam has now decided to start making a voluntary contribution from every fee earned from its local clients, to help make the initiative a sustainable one.
Goldteam hires local people benefitting from skills training at Slough Aspire into local businesses. It is also developing a job board for Slough Aspire as well as providing the organisation with advice for reaching, identifying and recruiting local talent for local jobs.
The financing from Goldteam will be key as Slough Aspire prepares to open premises in the autumn on Slough Trading Estate, from where training activity will be delivered.
Goldteam managing director Rafiq Chohan says: “There is a great deal of goodwill from Slough employers for the Aspire project and this is another way in which they can actively contribute to its long term success.”
The Slough Aspire steering group has representatives from SEGRO, the property business which developed the scheme and has put together a £100m-a-year masterplan for the development of Slough Trading Estate, as well as organisations and businesses including East Berkshire College, Slough Borough Council, O2, BlackBerry, the Federation of Small Businesses, and chair organisation Mars.
