Australian acquisition: Skilled Groups buy Broadsword

Based in Northern Territory, Broadsword’s offerings include oil & gas construction support, crew transfer, marine logistics and coastal towage, amonst others.

Skilled chief executive officer Mick McMahon says the deal “extends our capability, geographical reach and exposure to oil and gas, while enabling an extension of service to our clients”.

Broadsword founder Grant Farris will continue to manage the business. The deal should be formally completed next month.
