He battled his way through to the final of MasterChef, but recruitment director Dale Williams missed out on the top prize in last night’s final episode of the BBC’s TV cooking contest.

The final ran over three episodes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night of this week (30 April-2 May), with credit controller and part-time DJ Natalie Coleman coming out on top.

Williams, a director at Cardiff-based Yolk Recruitment, told Recruiter last week ahead of the final episode of the semi-final round that “nothing can prepare you for the intensity of the process”.

On Twitter yesterday, Williams described the experience as “the time of my life” saying he would “remember it forever and then some”.
