Jobs Watch: Engineers needed at Nissan; jobs at Associated Seafoods and Galgorm Castle

Associated Seafoods
The food processing company, which already employs around 125 people, will take on a further 100 under a multi-million pound expansion of its Buckie, Morayshire fish processing factory.

This is according to The Northern Scot, which reports that the company will diversify the shellfish products it produces, as well as improving its smoked salmon operation.

Associated Seafoods was formed out of a merger of two companies, and last year took over nearby business Glenisla Shellfish, with 27 Glenisla workers now due to relocate to Buckie.

Galgorm Castle Estates Development
Over 60 full- and part-time jobs will be created in Ballymena, County Antrim, as part of an £8m investment in the Galgorm Castle Estates complex.

The first of three phases of development that will create a new garden centre, see the castle itself undergo maintenance and expand the existing business centre at the site is already underway.

The Estate currently includes a Castle, business centre and golf course. The business centre has already attracted international firms including a US engineering company and a South Korean software firm.

Nissan
A total of 50 new jobs are being created at its Sunderland plant, which already employs around 6,500 staff and rising.

The BBC reports that the firm needs more engineers and maintenance staff for its luxury car division Infiniti.

As recruiter.co.uk reported in March, Infiniti has a new global head of HR, with a specific focus on talent acquisition, and is based in the firm's Hong Kong HQ.
