Chris Ledbury (right), chief executive officer of Hamilton Bradshaw Private Equity-backed recruitment business Exsurgo Investor Group, has left the business on a day-to-day basis “to do different things”.

Ledbury tells Recruiter that he is in the process of formally exiting the business.

Asked about his plans, Ledbury says he intends to remain in the recruitment industry. “Absolutely,” he says. “There are other things I want to do, and with any luck not in a small capacity,” he adds, though he refuses to elaborate further on his plans.

Ledbury spent five years at Hamilton Bradshaw. In his previous role there, he worked as investment director at Hamilton Bradshaw Recruitment Ventures - entrepreneur James Caan's investment house - working on structured deals in UK-based recruitment businesses with turnover of between £5m and £50m.

Before joining Hamilton Bradshaw, Ledbury founded Ledbury Search, and before that specialist digital strategy recruiter Madison Maclean.
