Mark Roberts has been made the managing director of industrial staffing business gap personnel, while the firm’s founder Gary Dewhurst takes on the role of chief executive officer and UK operations director Emma Ceballos returns from a 12-month sabbatical.

Roberts has spent 15 years at the firm, joining as a recent graduate. One of the firm’s first staff, his first role saw him collecting the agency’s temporary workers from their homes at 4am and driving them to early-morning shifts to ensure they made it to work on time.

He became UK operations director in 2008, and he now assumes overarching control of day-to-day operational matters across all regions and divisions within the gap group.
